Your website becomes your first boards

The hardest board to make is the first one. You open a blank screen, and before you've shown a seller anything you're choosing colors and hunting for your logo. So we built a wizard that starts from something you already have: your website.

Type in your site at pitchboards.io/start, or tap Build My First Board on the welcome screen in the app. The wizard reads your site the way a visitor sees it, not just its code. It picks up your logo, your colors, your fonts, and your photos, and it turns them into a brand theme and a set of starter boards.

Before anything is saved, you see it all: three boards and a client page, each one opening full screen in the same viewer your sellers will use. If it looks right, you save them to your account. If it doesn't, you haven't lost anything.

Already have boards? The From a Website… option in the app makes one board at a time. You pick the template, and the preview shows you exactly the board it will write. If your account already has a theme for that website, the wizard offers to keep it rather than adding a second copy of the same colors.

We also made the wizard more honest this week. Some sites don't give up their colors, or turn visitors like ours away. When that happens the wizard now says so. Any stand-in colors or photos are labelled as stand-ins, they never replace a theme you made yourself, and inside the app a site we couldn't read gets a Report this website button instead of a promise we can't keep.
